Having concluded his teaching on the commandments, Jesus then provides us with advice on moving forward. The way to life is hard to find and therefore our sources of ‘spiritual’ advice need careful checking. In the long run, Jesus teaching will be worthless unless we act on it, for our actions are only of any permanent value when they are founded upon his teaching.
